PYS Furniture Wax Instructions
To our valued PYS customers…
Thank you for choosing to purchase your PYS crafted timber furniture…
Your timber product requires…from time to time to be waxed to maintain the product in its most natural condition.
Each product is sourced from sustainable and managed forests…kiln tried to approx 9 – 13% moisture content…
In most cases..until the product has gone through the four seasons cycle, it is possible that some movement in the timber will take place. sometimes this movement will occur in the joints of timber panels..or the timber panel itself.
This does not mean that the timber is faulty…merely that the movement or opening needs waxing.
PYS Furniture supplies free wax ( bees wax ) with your purchase for this very purpose.
The wax is best applied to the joins or opening in the timber by using a plastic spatula or disused credit card or similar…make sure there are no sharp edges to scratch the timber then gently buff with a dry soft cloth.
It is recommended to wax the products within the first 50 days from purchase…
To maintain the products in their best possible condition it is suggested to wax in extreme condtions of cold, heat and humidity for at least the first year or four weather cycles…
